2.Participation Categories

(Amateur Group )

men's double, women's double, and mixed double(maximum 2 entries)

•Ages 70 and above (1955 and earlier) A, B level

•Ages 60 to 64 (1965 to 1961) A, B level

•Ages 65 to 69 (1960 to 1956) A, B level

•Ages 50 to 54 (1975 to 1971) A, B level

•Ages 55 to 59 (1970 to 1966) A, B level

•Ages 40 to 44 (1985 to 1981) A, B level

•Ages 45 to 49 (1980 to 1986) A, B level

•Ages 30 to 34 (1995 to 1991) A, B level

•Ages 35 to 39 (1990 to 1996) A, B level

•Ages 18 to 29 (2007 to 1996) A, B level

※For those who won medals in former Goyang Challenge Badminton competition must participate in the A level.

※Elite athletes are not allowed to compete in the amateur tournaments.

※Players can enter his/her own age or lower his/her age group but in the same level.

For example, if 70y plays MD A level, XD must be either 70 or lower 70, A level.

For example, if 70y plays WD A level, XD must be either 70 or lower 70, A level.

3.Regulations and Rules

• Rally points system (Maximum 25 points) is the basic rule for game, but it can be changed by the executives in some cases.
• Matters concerning judges and games are followed by Goyang, Gyeonggi and BKA(Korea Badminton Association) and BWF rule.
• If there are less than 4 teams in any Match, teams will be merged into another age group (For example, age group 19 to 29 with less than 4 teams, these teams would be merged with age group 30 to 39.)
• Qualifying round is to be Round-Robin league, final round is to be Elimination Tournament.
• The allocation of seeds in tournament will be determined by rules below.

4.Determine the allocation of seeds in Elimination Tournament

• The number of games won.
• If there are two teams with same number of games won, the winner of the matchup between the two teams will advance. (win by win)
• In the Round-Robin League, players are absent from 1st game can attend the 2nd game.
• When the players are injured during the game, temporary first-aid is allowed.
  (When default by injury, the score is valid) The allowed time is within 3 min.
• The game will be confiscated if injury is intentional, and all game will be confiscated if players with the intention of manipulating the game.
• Only the top team from each group will advance to the tournament.
• The seed player will be arranged randomly by computer.

How to determine the ranking of the league match

•Each of ranking is determined by the number of wins

•If the two teams are tied, the win will be determined by the results of the competition between the two teams

•If the three or more teams are in the same league, it will be determined by the following orders.：

1. Most wins
2. Total score difference
3. Total score combined
4. Total loss of score
5. Order (team total age)

After entering semifinals, the two winners from each bracket will play for first and second place. The two defeated participants from each bracket will tie for third place.

Shuttle House is planning to organize a group of volunteers to participate in this tournament under the name『Team Japan Shuttle House』

We will assist with the arrangements for:

• Airfare
• Tournament entry (including the farewell party)
• Hotel accommodations (with breakfast)

Please note that actual costs for these arrangements will be charged.
If you are looking for a doubles partner, please feel free to consult with us.
※A team uniform will be prepared for all participants and can be purchased for ¥10,000.
※Shuttle House has previously participated in international tournaments such as the 『Morning Cup』 in Taiwan and the 『Sawasdee Cup』 in Thailand.
