Introducing the badminton specialty store Shuttle House
With our main store located in Namba, Osaka, we have been serving badminton enthusiasts for over 40 years. On October 19, 2016, we opened our second store in Ueno, Tokyo. In 2019, we also opened the Naha Kokusai-dori Store in Okinawa. The franchise agreement for the store ended in March 2025, and it subsequently ceased operations under the Shuttle House name.
With more than 30 years of experience in mail-order sales and over 20 years of experience in online retail, we take pride in our extensive knowledge and expertise.
We carry a wide range of badminton products from various manufacturers, with a particular focus on YONEX and MIZUNO.
Our entire team will continue to work hard to provide the best products and services to badminton players around the world. We sincerely appreciate your continued support and look forward to serving you for many years to come.

Mao Ning, a famous Chinese singer and one of our regular customers, visited our store with his Chinese friend who lives in Japan. According to him, there is a badminton team made up of celebrities in China, and he purchased some gifts for the team members.

A group from the Daejeon Philharmonic Orchestra in South Korea visited our store for some shopping during a break from their concert activities.

Mr. Yu Kwok-hung visited us from Hong Kong on a business trip.
- The Chui Family and Their Friend, Mr. Matsuda, from Vancouver, Canada

They are badminton friends with Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Cheung, who previously visited our store. The entire Chui family enjoys playing badminton.
With Mr. Matsuda kindly interpreting for us, we had the opportunity to hear all about the badminton scene in Canada. - A Japanese-American team from San Diego
The annual International Friendship Ladies Badminton Tournament was held in 2002 at the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium, located next to our store.
A Japanese-American team from San Diego visited us during the tournament. As they are third- or fourth-generation Japanese Americans, they did not speak Japanese.

- Another Group of Students from Hong Kong Visits Our Store
We believe this was a graduation trip, similar to the trips many students take in Japan after completing their studies. They were staying in Japan for just one night, yet they kindly took time out of their valuable schedule to visit our store.
Apparently, Japanese products were enjoying an unprecedented boom in Hong Kong at the time. We were told that people carefully checked for the "MADE IN JAPAN" label when purchasing not only sporting goods but also home appliances and other products.
Tsang Sin Chung, Chan Kai Man, 聰, 文, and our store manager, Mr. Obata. - Mr. Vincent Chu from Hong Kong
Before coming to Japan, Mr. Chu had contacted us several times by email to ask about the location of our store. Even so, he laughed and told us that it took him an hour to reach us from his hotel in Shinsaibashi, even though it was only about a 10-minute journey. We sincerely apologize for the difficulty in finding us!
He told us that Japanese-made products are highly trusted in Hong Kong. Although the MP-90 was also available in Hong Kong, he specifically wanted one marked with "JP," indicating that it was manufactured in Japan, which was the reason for his visit to our store.
On the right is Ashida, a fourth-year student and active member of the badminton club at a university in Osaka, who was working part-time at Shuttle House at the time. Since he was good at English, he was able to assist Mr. Chu throughout his visit.
Note: In the past, "JP" was stamped on certain YONEX products as part of the product identification markings and indicated that the product was manufactured in Japan. Such markings, including "JP," are no longer used on current products. - Mr. and Mrs. Wu, Owners of Laxsis Sports Net in Hong Kong, Visit Our Store
Mr. and Mrs. Wu, the owners of Laxsis Sports Net, a sporting goods store in Hong Kong specializing in badminton, visited our store. They are the two people on the left in the photo.We have maintained a friendly relationship with their store for some time, exchanging information about badminton and other topics. During their visit to Japan, which also included sightseeing, they even joined one of our badminton practice sessions, further strengthening our friendship.

Ms. Li Yanrong came to Japan from Changsha, Hunan Province, China, for a one-year corporate training program.
She kindly made her way to our store with a map she had downloaded from the internet.
- Teams from the United States, Canada, South Korea, and Taiwan Visit Our Store During the International Friendship Ladies Badminton Tournament
The International Friendship Ladies Badminton Tournament is held every October at the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium, located next to our store.
This year, as always, teams from overseas came to our store to shop throughout the tournament, with different teams visiting one after another.
We are always very grateful for the large number of purchases they make. However, even with a team of six staff members attending to our customers, the store can become quite a scene, with English, Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Japanese being spoken all at once. It truly feels like a battlefield!
We had hoped to take commemorative photos with each team, but the store was simply too busy to do so. Instead, we were able to take a few snapshots of members of the Canadian and American teams who came back to shop at a more leisurely pace the day after the tournament ended.
Ms. Ikeda, a third-generation Japanese American, we are sorry that we did not have more time to talk with you. We hope to have the opportunity to speak with you again someday! - Mr. and Mrs. Mikael Rorth
Mr. and Mrs. Mikael Rorth came to Osaka from Copenhagen, Denmark, on business. Their eldest son, Rasmus Rorth, is reportedly the Danish national champion in the under-13 category. We are very excited to see what the future holds for this talented young player!
Mr. Arne Volstrup-Petersen (center) Mr. Volstrup-Petersen currently works at a Danish health insurance company’s office in Tokyo. He accompanied the Rorth family as their guide and interpreter, speaking fluent Japanese. We also learned that he was formerly a member of the Danish national badminton team and had once played against Japanese player Ippei Kojima. Mr. Petersen told us that he unfortunately lost that match. - Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Cheung
Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Cheung came to Osaka from Vancouver, Canada, to visit Mrs. Cheung's hometown. We were told that they run a gift shop called GRAND MAPLE in Vancouver. Their local badminton club has hundreds of members, and they can use the club's dedicated courts 24 hours a day! We're so jealous!!
