Tournament Rules
Key regulations are summarized here for quick reference. Players should always confirm the latest official rules before competing.
1)Players must be in good health and provide verifiable identification (passport / national ID).
2)Each player may register for a maximum of 2 categories. Registering for more than 2 categories will result in immediate disqualification from all events (no refunds).
3)All players are eligible to participate in the Open Division.
4)Amateur Division: Players with a BWF ID may register for this division, EXCEPT those who have previously competed in the following international events: SEA Games, Asian Games, Asia Championships, European Championships, Thomas & Uber Cups, Sudirman Cup, and Olympics.
(Special exemption: Former male national team players aged 45 years and above, and former female national team players aged 40 years and above who have previously competed in the events listed above, are permitted to compete in the Amateur Division.)
In case of a protest, the protesting party must present evidence to the referee's table at least 30 minutes before the match. The competition committee will consider and decide immediately (no refunds).
5)Players may NOT play the same event in both age-specific and combined-age categories.
(No duplicate play across age groups — e.g., a player in Men's Doubles 45–49 cannot also play Men's Doubles 50–54. Likewise across combined-age groups — e.g., Men's Doubles 100 cannot be combined with Men's Doubles 110.)
6)Players must be in good physical condition. The organizer is not liable for any injury beyond the agreed terms; players are responsible for their own medical expenses in such cases.
7) In case of dispute, the decision of the chief referee is final.
1) Age-restricted divisions are separated in 5-year intervals.
2) The Amateur Division is divided into: Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Husband–Wife (the husband's age is used as the basis).
3) Scoring uses the Rally Point System, up to 31 points. If the score reaches 30–30, the first side to reach 31 wins (no deuce). Sides change when one side reaches 16 points.
4) Shuttlecock changes require the consent of both sides or the umpire's discretion.
5) Players who arrive more than 15 minutes late will be disqualified. If matches overlap, players are entitled to a 15-minute break.
6) There is no formal awards ceremony. Winners ranked 1st–3rd must report to the registration desk within 15 minutes after the match.
7) Group matches use the round-robin format. If teams are tied on games won, the team with the highest total points wins; subsequent rankings follow accordingly.
The 3×3 event is a team format played by three players per side. The following regulations apply:
1) Scoring System: Matches are played as a single game using the Rally Point System, decided at 31 points.
2) Change of Ends: Sides shall be changed when either team reaches 16 points.
3) Player Positions: Each team must designate its three players into three positions, namely Racket 1, Racket 2, and Racket 3.
4) Role of Racket 3: The Racket 3 player is permitted to receive service. The team may position the Racket 3 player anywhere on court as deemed appropriate.
5) Other Scoring & Play: All other scoring and match procedures shall follow the standard doubles format.
